Trood is an app done in collaboration with Chinese Design students.
The app's core mission is to provide Americans visiting Beijing with a seamless and user-friendly way of discovering budget-friendly snack options and locations. One of Trood's most exciting features is its social aspect, which allows travelers to share their latest snack finds with others also exploring Beijing. To create an app that stood out, I drew inspiration from traditional Chinese colors also commonly associated with food in America, but added purple and green to make the design more unique. These colors double as category indicators within the app, ensuring an even smoother
and more intuitive user experience.
